In this month's edition of Platform Pros, we want to hone in some already popular features and really hammer home their utility to everyone. With only 5 months to go until you welcome a new cohort of students to campus, we’re already gearing up for Freshers and have multiple features that we believe will help you do just that - as they say, the early bird catches the worm.

Pick ‘n’ Mix Wristbands

In preparation for the upcoming student year, we’ve spent the last few months building on one of our most popular features - wristbands! 

You can now create a Pick ‘n’ Mix Wristband; a customisable wristband that offers unmatched flexibility to both you and your students. You are able to build a package centred around a selection of ‘Automatically Granted’ events; students can then freely complete by choosing to ‘Opt-In’ to a number of events from a wider selection. 

We’re confident students will love the opportunity to take control of their own bespoke packages. But don't worry, you’ll be able to limit the number of optional events they can claim - giving events a premium feel!

Full-Page Widget

Our native widget may not be a new feature, but it’s certainly one we’re proud of and want to shout about! 

We now have two different variations of widget: the original, more concise Carousel with one row of events to scroll through, and the newer All-Events widget that lets you show off even more events in a full page form. Both are customisable and provide an excellent way to showcase all of your amazing events and content to students without linking them away from your website. 

The All-Event variation currently makes up only a third of our widgets - so as we rapidly approach the busy periods of summer and freshers, we really recommend getting one set up. It’s the best way to exhibit everything you have planned to celebrate the end of one academic year and the start of the next.

Rep Scheme

Our next product update is on the way, bringing with it a feature we’re very excited to share with you - our Rep Scheme! 

This first showcasing of the feature allows you to improve the viral and social marketing of your events by utilising your groups - they get a cut of any ticket bought through their links! It’s simple to set up - you just add a rep scheme when creating an event, and then once it's launched both you and your groups will have access to bespoke dashboards where you can track sales and register payouts.
