Student-Only Tickets
We’ve made some big improvements to Student-Only tickets and Single Sign-On, tightening up enrolment checks at the point of purchase. This will ensure that non-students can’t purchase Student-Only tickets, even via a guest account.
It does mean that at the start of the new academic year, incoming first-year students whose university email accounts are yet to be created in your Membership Management System will not be able to purchase Student-Only tickets.
So, to avoid this scenario, we recommend disabling the Student-Only check at ticket level until you know all students have a uni email address. Once you’re ready to start enabling Student-Only checks again, you will be able to send prompt notifications to all students who signed up with their personal email to merge their account with their university email - ensuring a smooth transition between the start of the year and the rest of their university experience!
